elliott smith radio tribute - may 9th

i am really sorry. i just tried to post a decent size news story about the upcoming elliott smith radio tribute show and my system crashed. i am super sick too. so all i have the energy for right now is to post the email i got from carly who is putting on the show. thanks to carly and sorry for my lack of energy :\ thanks so much to everyone involved and told me about the tribute!

"The show is planned for roughly 8am-10pm on Tuesday, May 9th. It might go later, depending on how many people end up being interested. I posted on all the message boards (including a frustrating procedure of trying to figure out how to register for the German message board; I speak no German) and emailed the administrators for all the sites linked on Sweet Adaline.I don't remember if I mentioned this or not, but Mary Lou Lord is coming, and I'm doing a phone interview with Benjamin Nugent. Those are the big features so far. I have 10 more people confirmed to do covers, but I expect that to grow a lot in the next couple of days.

I posted on most of the myspace groups... I tried to find the livejournal groups, but I was having a hard time figuring out how to search for them. I'm a little delirious because I just had this idea less than 24 hours ago and it's ballooning into a huge deal and I'm frantically trying to plan everything.

So yeah. I'm still interested to hear any more suggestions you have. I will also post updates about the tribute show there, so I guess you can use that as the link people should go to.
